Dr. Peter Burch returns to the library with another entertaining excursion, this time to South America!

Through his pictures and description, we will visit the beautiful vineyards in the  countryside surrounding Santiago and the dramatic fjord country in southern Chile.   After crossing the Andes into Argentina,  we traverse the massive Patagonian grasslands to Buenos Aires, home of the tango.

Dr. Burch will show us the burial site of Eva Peron, then describe his visit with gauchos at an estancia (ranch).  We will behold the power and beauty of the 240' high Iguazu  waterfalls, perhaps the most impressive in the world.  Then we continue on to Rio de Janeiro to enjoy samba dancers and carnival floats, Copacabana Beach,  the Christ the Redeemer statue overlooking the city, and Sugarloaf Mountain. All at a price anyone can afford!
